Day
1 : Hanoi - Maichau - Son La ( B, L, D )
Am : depart from your hotel in Hanoi at 0730 for a 11-hour drive to Son La. Have
lunch and take a rest at Mai Chau. Arriving in Son La late
in the afternoon and check into our local guesthouse where
you spend the night.
Day
2 : Son La - Dien Bien Phu ( B, L, D )
Am : Visit the remains of a old French prison and have a
dip in the local hot springs. Then drive to Dien Bien Phu around 170 km away. Stop
over to visit some minority vilages and ThuanChau market. Arrive at Dien Bien
Phu and check in hotel. Free time.
Day
3 : Dien Bien Phu - Phong Tho - Paso
( B, L, D )
Am :
Spend the day around Dien Bien Phu visiting the former
battlefields, the museum and some of the hill tribe
villages. . 4 hours road trip to Phong Tho Town. Visit the market
in Phong Tho. Then continue the short distance to Paso
town
for our accommodation for this night.
Day
4 : Paso - Sapa ( B, L, D )
8.30: drive east to Sapa, which is a four - hour drive. Arrive
in Sapa around 12h30. After lunch we have the afternoon
free to explore the township. Overnight in Sapa.
Day
5 : Sapa
( B, L, D )
Take six hour trek to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat,
Ta Van and Cau May and meet some of the local minority people
on their way to and from Sapa such as: Red Zao, Hmong and
Tay people, walk to Sapa to trade at the markets. Overnight
at hotel.
Day
6 : Sapa - Hanoi (B, L,D )
Night train to Hanoi
Am : Free time at the market in Sapa town. Check out
hotel. Have lunch in the town.
Pm :
Transfer to Taphin HMong village and to Laocai train station
for a night train to Hanoi.
Day 7 : Arrive Hanoi
train station at 5.00AM .
End tour.
