Treks
Treks
in areas of breathtaking beauty in northern
Vietnam are an old specialty of Our Tours. We
have expanded this program to include treks
in the Central Highlands. These trips through
hilltribe villages (sometimes with no electricity
or running water) include homestays with the
hilltribes. On some of the treks, the terrain
can be rough and one has to be reasonably fit
for the longer treks.

06 :Sapa Hilltribe Trek : (7 Days) (4-Day Trek)
Approx.
330 US$ /per (2 to 3 pax)
At
a elevation of 1600 meters, Sapa is a delightful
old French hill station situated in the mountainous
region of Vietnams' northwest, close to the Chinese
border. The region is home to many ethnic minorities
groups all wearing their traditional and colourful
attire. This trip includes a 4-day trek through
the hills and valleys in the Sapa region. Average
walking time for each day is around 6 hours, passing
through H'mong, Day, Tho, Tay, Nhang, and Red
Dao communities. Three nights are spent in these
minority villages so be warned, you will have
to do without some modern comforts on this one.
Often there is no electricity or running water
and bedding can be a layer of straw covered with
a mat in some cases. The apparent hardships are
worth it though as we walk through some of the
most spectacular scenery that Vietnam has to offer. |

PT01:
Mai Chau Trekking : (6 Days) (4-Day Trek)
Approx.
290 US$/per (2 to 3 pax)
This
trip to the north west highland of Mai Chau offers
a balance of cultural and physical activities
set amongst some northern Vietnam's stunning natural
landscape. We spend 5 nights in the ethnic hill
tribes minority villages walking a average of
5 hours a day. We trek for four days through villages
in the Mai Chau area and overnight in White Thai
and H'mong villages where we have opportunities
to observe the local lifestyle of these minority
people. From the mountainous region of Mai Chau,
we travel back to the nations capital, Hanoi.
Travelers who prefer to get off the beaten track
often prefer Mai Chau to Sapa. |

05 : Sapa Explorer : (5 Days) (2-Day Trek)
Approx.
230 US$ per person (2 to 3 pax)
Many
travelers consider Sapa to be the highlight of
their stay in Vietnam. The variety of ethnic minority
groups in Vietnam is fascinating and nowhere is
this ethnic mix more accessible than it is in
Sapa, and its outstandingly beautiful valleys.
This trip is a condensed and easier version of
the 7 day Ethnic Explorer, designed for those
people who are put off by the lack of comfort
in that trip. The trek takes 2 days and there
is only one long walk. We spend one night in one
of the more comfortable villages and travel to
and from Hanoi by car allowing you to take in
as much as possible of the breath-taking scenery
in a short time. |

02 : Pleiku Jungle Trek : (6 Days) Approx.
450US$ per person (2 to 3 pax)
Pleiku's
stunning unspoiled rain forests and remoteness
makes this one of the more challenging areas to
trek. This trip includes a 3-day trek through
scenic valleys and waterfalls before arriving
at the forestry reserves where we set up camp
for two of the three nights. The trip starts with
the flight from either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City,
depending on your preferred starting point. |
